The Lexus brand was developed by the Toyota company in 1989, and it has its own headquarters in Nagoya, Japan.

Lexus is a luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota. The brand is marketed in more than 70 countries and territories worldwide and it is Japan’s largest-selling brand of premium cars. It was ranked among the 10 largest Japanese global brands in market value.

In 2000, Consumer Reports named Lexus among the top five most reliable brands in its Annual Car Reliability Surveys of over one million vehicles across the U.S.
