KFC, also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders in 1930 and it is now headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.

KFC is an American fast food restaurant chain that specializes in fried chicken. It is also the world’s second-largest restaurant chain after McDonald’s, with 22,621 locations globally in 150 countries.

The restaurant’s original product is pressure-fried chicken pieces, seasoned with Sanders’ recipe of 11 herbs and spices but they also offer other chicken products such as chicken fillet sandwiches and wraps, as well as salads and side dishes such as French fries and coleslaw, desserts, and soft drinks.

KFC’s iconic slogans are “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good!”, “Nobody does chicken like KFC”, and “So good”.

The company won several awards at the Marketing Excellence Awards and Loyalty & Engagement Awards in Singapore, 2014: for Excellence in Consumer Insights/market Research and for Excellence in Direct Marketing category.
