bKash was launched in July 2011, in Bangladesh by Kamal Quadir, offering basic services like cash in, cash out and sending money.

Now, bKash is a mobile financial service in Bangladesh, which operates under the authority of Bangladesh Bank and provides safe and easy to make payments and money transfers via mobile phones. In 2017, Fortune Magazine ranked bKash as the 23rd company in their annual list “Change the World” among other 50 important companies who made big social changes.
