BBC World Service Logo: A Famous Entertainment Brand

BBC World Service was founded on December 19, 1932, in London UK, where it is headquartered till present.

BBC is an international, world’s largest broadcaster that broadcasts news, speech and discussions in more than 40 languages. It is available to listen to on different platforms like online, satellite and cable, AM, FM and radio.

In 2015, it reached an average of 210 million people a week and in November 2016, they announced that they would start broadcasting in more languages including Amharic and Igbo, this being the biggest expansion since the 1940s

They have programmes that range from news, education and entertainment and have a reputation for being accurate and actual. The World Service in English mainly broadcasts news and analysis. The current schedule is: Newsday, World Update, Newshour and The Newsroom. News is also available from the BBC News app, which can be downloaded from both App Store and the Google Play Store.
